We Run Ultras

Editorial method

How the work earns its conclusions.

This publication is written from coaching practice and tested against published evidence. The aim is not certainty. It is an argument specific enough for a reader to inspect.

  1. 01

    Question

Each article starts with a claim narrow enough to test, not a broad subject waiting to be filled.

  2. 02

    Evidence

Primary research and current guidance take priority. Numbers are traced to their source and limitations stay visible.

  3. 03

    Argument

The strongest counterargument is considered before publication. If the evidence cannot carry the claim, the claim gets smaller.

  4. 04

    Continuity

Every article uses the same topic system, structure, source standard, and British English editorial contract.

  5. 05

    Correction

Material revisions receive an updated date. Unsupported language is removed rather than defended for consistency.

What this does not mean

Articles are educational, not individual medical advice. Research conducted in one population or setting may not transfer cleanly to another. Coaching judgement still requires the athlete’s context.
